Key directions of reforming and improving the legal support of control and supervisory activities in the Russian Federation

The author considered the issues of legal regulation of control and supervisory activities in the Russian Federation, studied the stages and results of the ongoing reform of the institute of state control and supervision and municipal control. During the analysis of the legal foundations of control and supervisory activities, their shortcomings were identified, specific proposals for their solution were formed. The assessment of the new law on control and supervisory activities, the implemented control and supervisory innovations was carried out. The author's proposals are aimed at improving the basic principles of control and supervisory activities, eliminating the shortcomings of the applied legislative technique and gaps. In particular, it is proposed to amend the provisions of the law concerning the regulation of issues of interdepartmental interaction. In order to prevent violations of the established requirements, the author suggests introducing compliance, minimizing the declarative nature of the principles of control and supervisory activities.
