Key trends in digital development of the agro-industrial complex and assessment of the management basis of its functioning

From the point of view of the effective development of the state, the most significant for its economic system is the agro-industrial complex (AIC). As such, the agro-industrial complex must regularly transform and adapt to the current realities of the digital world, which is impossible without changes in the management processes of agricultural enterprises. Ultimately, all these changes set the management and digital trends in the development of the agro-industrial complex. These circumstances determined the setting of the goal of the study, which consists in analyzing the key trends in the digital development of the agroindustrial complex with a subsequent assessment of the management principles of its functioning. The use of a set of methods that determined the methodological basis for analyzing and assessing the current state of the agro-industrial complex in the context of management and digital trends in its development (abstract logical method, detailing, grouping and systematization method, systems method, comparative and retrospective analysis) made it possible to systematize and graphically reflect the key points established in the course of the work. In the course of the study, the institutional basis for the functioning of the agro-industrial complex was established, and a retrospective analysis of the development of agriculture in the context of technological structures was carried out, which made it possible to highlight its specificity. The dynamics of the growth volumes of the agro-industrial complex 4.0 at the global level showed a trend of growth of agricultural production, which, however, is associated with a number of problems, the solution of which opens up broad prospects for development in the future. As a result, it was possible to achieve the goal of the study, identifying and assessing the specific characteristics of modern trends in the development of agricultural production and the factors that predetermine the process of building the management structure of agro-industrial complex organizations with the subsequent choice of the agro-industrial complex management model.
