Claude Lévi-Strauss and Samara in the Chronicle of one Correspondence

The article tells about the scientifi c contacts of Samara historians and cultural scientists with Claude Lévi-Strauss (1908-2009). C. Lévi-Strauss was a great intellectual of the 20th century, one of the founders of structural anthropology, who occupies a special place in world science. Today, reference to his intellectual heritage allows us to substantiate and understand the need for a new humanistic order in the relationships between cultures and peoples. The article presents some retrospective and contemporary materials about Claude Lévi-Strauss, including the correspondence of the titled French anthropologist with Samara cultural scientists in the context of the topical dialogue about culture and the world.
