The book has come a long way and undergone numerous changes in both form and content. Alongside difficult-to-understand experimental texts, more visualized texts adapted to the conditions shaped by clip-based thinking have emerged. The aim of this paper is to examine book culture through the prism of postmodernism and, from this perspective, to characterize two trends that have emerged in book culture practice: visualization and cross-media. Printed books are becoming inconvenient for modern digital users. This entails the need for changes. The future of the book is considered in the context of a synergy of mediums, where it is becoming an element of multimedia projects and film adaptations, thereby attracting additional attention from the reading audience. This practice shows a successful impact on interest in books and reading.
