Literary forms in the system of Mordovia heroic epos: problems of studying and teaching

The article considers the problems of studying and teaching literary forms of Mordovian heroic epos; defines the ways of their evolution and the degree of influence of authentic epos on them; shows the style of using the folk material in the works in the certain period of time related to the literary type of epos; characterizes the role the author in such type of writing. The author offers the ways of more detailed study of literary forms of heroic epos in the system of authentic epos, in connection with which it examines academic approaches developed in works of prominent Russian and Mordovian specialists in folklore and literature criticism.
