The code of napoleon: content and meaning

The article examines the brief history of the adoption of the Napoleon Code, as well as its content, consisting of three books. The authors point to the innovations that were introduced into civil law with the adoption of the Napoleonic Code. Based on the analysis of theoretical and legislative provisions, the author summarizes the significance of the studied normative legal act.
