Cultural codes in the godonimikon of the Brest region: the specificity of implementation

The article is devoted to the study of a fragment of the toponymic space of the Brest region. The object was godonyms - the official names of intracity objects of 4 cities of the Brest region. During the analysis of 1408 names, cultural codes were identified and described, explicating culturally marked information. The study was carried out in line with the systemic linguoculturological analysis of onomastic units that is relevant in modern science. Based on the author's classification of culture codes, the godonyms of the selected territory are analyzed in a qualitative and quantitative light. The author of the article concludes that the formation of the regional godonymicon is continuous and takes place on the background of constant changes in the sociopolitical, historical, and cultural life of the region.
