The cognitive model of the formation of music high school students’ foreign language communicative competence

The article describes the model of teaching English for Specific Purposes to students of music high school. The key element of the model is music culture; a musical worldview can be considered its core. For its successful formation a special selection of texts, lexical and grammatical material and terms related to the field of music is conducted. The model is aimed at achieving a positive result in the formation of the musical worldview in the minds of students, along with a high level of a practical acquaintance with English in the professional sphere.
