Cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy of chronic pelvic pain syndrome: specifics and efficiency

Introduction. The article shows that effective treatment of abacterial (non-infectious) prostatitis (AP) or chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CSTB) is based on multimodal tactics taking into account the urological clinical phenotype of the patient (according to the UPOINT system), comorbid mental disorders and psychosocial risk factors (disease-oriented strategy of coping with pain, cata-strophization, changes in social support). Material and methods. The limitations of the pharmacological approach are shown. The purpose and targets of mgnitive-behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) in the treatment of AP/CPPS were identified. A modified cognitive-behavioral model of health anxiety in a urological patient is presented. The format and efficiency are described monotherapy CBT, combined regime with urological and psychopharmacotherapy, as well as in combination with myofascial methods of physiotherapy Results. Clinical examples show the specificity of the application of cognitive-behavioral program of management of urological symptoms of D.A. Tripp, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy of couples, somatocognitive therapy or therapy to enhance emotional awareness and expression. Conclusion. For the first time the Protocol of formation of psychological flexibility at the patient with CPPS is presented.
