Cognitive factors of social functioning in paranoid schizophrenia

Impaired cognition affect on social functioning in schizophrenia. On the other hand, cognitive regulation are widely reported to be factor of social functioning. To further delineate this view in present study we have carried out the experimental research. The aims of this research are to find out some correlation between social functioning and cognitive styles in paranoid schizophrenia. We think that a cognitive style show in which degree cognitive regulation is formed. We have recruited 80 participants with first-episode paranoid schizophrenia and 50 participants without mental illness. In a result we find out some correlation between cognitive styles in paranoid schizophrenia. Also we define the role cognitive styles played as factors of social functioning in paranoid schizophrenia
