Cognitive and behavioral features of perception of news content by generation Z

The article examines the cognitive and behavioral characteristics of the perception of news content by generation Z. The features of media consumption of young people are noted. It was revealed that when perceiving news content, there is an influence of certain role models on the personality of users, which young people are guided by. It was determined that the cognitive features of the perception of news content by representatives of generation Z include: clip-based thinking, restraint in offline and openness in the online environment, perception of images, multitasking in working with information, but there is no desire for a full analysis of the news, search for additional information. It is concluded that the behavioral aspects of a representative of generation Z are determined not only by personal preferences, aspirations, but also by the influence of many factors aimed at attracting and retaining an audience.
