Cognitive Errors of Internal Affairs Officers with Different Levels of Information-psychological Vulnerability

The article presents the results of an empirical study of the relationship between information-psychological vulnerability and cognitive errors of employees of internal affairs bodies. It is noted that in the modern conditions of service activity, an extremely important quality of an employee of internal affairs bodies is information - psychological stability, the lack of which is manifested in information - psychological vulnerability, the extreme expression of which is information - psychological victimization. Based on the empirical data obtained during the study, it is shown: the higher the information - psychological vulnerability, the more expressed the respondents' cognitive errors and the lower their critical thinking; characteristic cognitive errors in employees of internal affairs bodies with information - psychological victimization are catastrophization, learned helplessness and exaggeration of danger; depending on the level of its expression, critical thinking can be a condition for information - psychological stability (at an elevated level) and at extremely high values can lead to cognitive errors, thereby increasing the information - psychological vulnerability of employees of law enforcement officers.
