Kolyma-Okhotsk region and its precious metal mineralisation

The author tries to define basic features of the localization of precious metal mineralization in major structures of the Kolyma Okhotsk region, based on the analysis of their development, involving the new data in geomorphology and the structure of the area under investigation. According to geotectonic observations, the region is as a huge junction zone between the two Mesozoic belts of Yano-Kolyma and Okhotsk-Chukotka. Ore and placer gold deposits of the Kolyma-Okhotsk region are controlled by the Verkhnekolymsk geomorphology.
