Chemotherapy in the combined treatment of locally advanced bladder cancer

The combined treatment of locally advanced bladder cancer significantly improves survival rates, that is especially important for people of working age. The article presents the results of treatment of patients with locally advanced cancers of the bladder by Russian and foreign authors in the past 40 years. The article shows that early diagnosis and multimodality treatment for locally advanced bladder cancer can achieve better performance in overall and disease-free survival, which ultimately enhances the overall effect of the treatment and helps preserve the quality of life for patients.
