The “Sea-gull” by B. Akunin as an example of the “text-continuation”

The article is devoted to the problem the “text-continuation”, which were widely distributed in the era of postmodernism. The principle of a play, the principle of an irony, the principle of a deconstruction are the specific features of postmodern text. The research is based on the analysis of intertextual communication of the initial text (“The Sea-Gull” by A. Chekhov) and of the “text-continuation” (“The Sea-Gull” by B. Akunin) according to theory by G. Genette.
