EU counter-terrorism coordinator's communication functions

The article analyzes the role of the EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator in communication maintenance of the counter-terrorist activity in the European Union. The author comes to a conclusion about the importance of communicative (representative) role of the Coordinator in the formation of the reputation of the EU as an actor in the fight against international terrorism. Coordinator's work contains an essential component of communication between various counter-terrorist structures. First, he collects, analyzes and distributes the information between the EU authorities, and maintains the representation of the EU decisions on the all-European and international forums. Today Coordinator's prior task is the assessment of current situation and trends in counter-terrorism. It is one of evident illustrations of attempts to create the systematized knowledge area in the field of counter-terrorist activity in EU, which would be presented to the audiences by experts, forming this knowledge.
