The article is devoted to the relationship between the communicative competence of the municipal employee and the formation of the image of the municipal service. Having analyzed the legal framework in the field of municipal service, based on the positions and opinions of researchers, the author of the article proposed criteria for the formation of a positive image of municipal employees. The activities of municipal employees should meet the needs of modern Russian society, in this regard, the topic of the article is relevant.
