Communication space in A. P. Chekhov 's drama "Three sisters"

In the article, the dramatic text is viewed upon as some communication space organized by the characters’ communicative intentions. The authors focus their attention on the verbalized intentions of the play’s heroes, reconstructed on the basis of semantic prim itives bearing the meaning “to wish”. The approach employed allows passing from the verbal level of the text on to the interpretation of its ideological structures.
