Communication Strategies and Norms of Etiquette

Бесплатный доступ

The article covers key aspects of human interaction within cultural, social and international contexts. Communication strategies describe the ways in which individuals communicate, choosing certain forms and methods depending on the situation, goals, and cultural traditions. The norms of etiquette, in turn, regulate the behavior of participants in communication, determining what is considered correct and respectful in a particular society or culture. These norms include rules of politeness, ways of greeting, gestures, manners, as well as specific formulations of speech. The specifics of these strategies and norms vary depending on cultural traditions, the level of formality of communication, the social status of the interlocutors and their relationship to each other. Another important aspect is the impact of these norms on the success of communication, especially in international and intercultural interactions, where compliance with local norms is the key to effective communication and mutual respect.
