Competence management is a process of comparing the needs of a company with existing resources and choosing forms of influence to bring them into line. In this case, the company's need is understood as the necessary quantitative and qualitative composition of personnel, determined in accordance with the chosen strategy of the company's development. Under resources, employees with the achieved level of competence, desires, motivation and aspirations are taken into account. The result of comparing the needs and resources of the organization will be permutations, recruitment and training. Competence management should take place at the level of the firm and at the level of the individual.
