Competency-oriented training of teacher-researchers: integration of research (project) activities and digital literacy of future teachers

The article substantiates the model of competencebased training of a teacherresearcher using the example of teaching future English teachers at a pedagogical university. The key components of the research competence of a future foreign language teacher (motivational and valuebased, cognitive, activitybased, and personal) are analyzed, and their relationship with the development of project and research skills in future teachers is examined. The importance of students' digital competence as an integral condition for the formation of professionally significant teacher qualities for the effective organization of project activities in schools is emphasized. The article explores certain aspects of university training for foreign language teachers, integrating research approaches, digital tools, and project activities for students of pedagogical specialties in philological education. The article is based on current research in the field of pedagogy and the experience of implementing a competencebased approach in the training of future teachers at a pedagogical university.
