This study examines the impact of introducing a competency-based approach to education in higher education educational institutions on their implementation of marketing strategies and the management of consumer loyalty to their services. The paper considers the stages of the formation of a competency-based approach to education, identifies the main consumers of the services of educational institutions of higher education and their competitive advantages in the labor market, as well as the main benefits for business entities - employers.
