Competence-oriented approach in higher education as a quality factor of training

The article fully describes the educational competence of trainees, it addresses the contradiction between requirements of a higher education institution and readiness of students to select and implement their own educational path; the article demonstrates the need and the possibility of purposeful development of the educational competence of students in a higher education institution. The article authors therefore conclude that the implementation of competence-oriented approach in educational process will allow improving the quality of specialists training and it will provide the possibility to express about social-personal-behavioral result of education. Innovation development is a long-term priority of the Russian economical strategy. But to put innovations to life, a qualitatively new educational background of human capital is needed. Thereby, quality requirements for professional training of intended specialists are increased.
