In paper the author considers concepts and various kinds, classifications of competences necessary for pupils. The purpose of this paper is the analysis of approaches to this question of Russian and foreign authors. Professional competence of the basic is expressed in readiness and ability of the expert to make effective decisions in realization of professional work; it is characterized by set of the integrated knowledge, skills and experience, the personal qualities allowing effectively to project and carry out professional work.
