Computer simulation of structure crystallography influence on wrinkling during drawing

Using finite-element modeling it is studied the influence of crystallographic orientation of structure on wrinkling during drawing of caps from aluminum alloy 8011A. It is determined that in comparison with isotropic and transversally isotropic material for wrinkling elimination during drawing of blanks with planar anisotropy it is necessary to apply higher blank-holder force.
