Computer systems of individual instruction: background and perspectives

Бесплатный доступ

This article discusses the background and perspectives of computer system of individual instruction as a tool to correct some problems of traditional education. The authors: 1) described the socio-economic environment leading to education degradation; 2) showed that the range of individual characteristics of learners could not be reflected by the formal assessment of their academic performance; 3) discussed the results of pedagogical experiment on the usage of individual and project-based learning, where the individual demonstrated the ability to team adaptation. We conclude that computer systems of individual instruction can be developed based on adaptive multiagent e-learning systems, if a detailed design of agents of educator and student, including a model of their interactions are determined.
