Inferiority complex as a cause of deviant behavior

The article discusses the influence of psychological and social factors on the occurrence of an inferiority complex and the features of its manifestation. The most frequent scenarios for the appearance of an inferiority complex are consistently disclosed. Several examples of the manifestation of an inferiority complex in different personalities are considered. To implement the research tasks, the authors conducted a socio- psychological study in November, 2022. The object of empirical research was 20 students of the Volgograd Institute of Management, a branch of the RANEPA, aged 18-19 years. For practical research, we used a self- determination test of an inferiority complex, which consists of 30 questions. The results of the study show that the respondents own assessment of the inferiority complex differs from what it really is. Everyone has an inferiority complex, but each person evaluates it differently: someone thinks he or she has a lot of complexes, and someone thinks he or she is perfect. The largest percentage in this testing took a low level of self-determination of the inferiority complex. These respondents believe that they do not have complexes at all, though everyone does. Such people often have an inflated self-esteem, because of which they do not see themselves from the outside. The authors offer recommendations for working with an inferiority complex, which can be used in the work, depending on the conditions.
