Complex model of realization of information needs of users in the process of acquisition of library stock

The General mathematical model of decision support in the problem of optimization of acquisition of library stock is developed, which allows to replenish and update it with the required sources to meet the information needs of users of library resources and takes into account the limited funding for the acquisition of new publications. The demand for library resources serves as the criterion of optimality. A formalized approach to the interpretation of users ' attitude to the satisfaction of their information needs is proposed. To reduce the dimension of the space of possible solutions, a model approximation of the optimization problem is constructed. The transition from the multicriteria optimization problem to its model approximation is based on the idea of identifying the most important features of the space of possible values and segmentation of the readership. In each classification problem the method of data mining, the method of analysis of strategic alternatives and the theory of fuzzy sets in accordance with the specifics of the problem were used. The model allows taking into account not only the influence of different factors on the quality of the book Fund acquisition, but also the limitations imposed by the limited funding of libraries.
