The article presents the main results of the research concerning the Early Iron Age ceramics from the multilayer Solontsovaya-2 site. The application of natural scientific methods made it possible to get a detailed picture of the pottery production of Yankovskaya and Krounovskaya cultures on this settlement and conduct their comparative analysis. The authors provide a description of the pottery paste composition and focus on vessel design, surface treatment, decoration, and firing temperatures.
