This article presents the authors' information regarding the etiological factors in the development and pathogenesis of chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis. One of the most common conditions in dental practice is chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis, caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the therapeutic and prophylactic effect of complex therapy for chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis. The study included 30 patients with chronic recurrent herpetic stomatitis aged from 18 to 66 years, under our supervision there were 20 patients in the main group, 10 patients in the control group with a diagnosis of “recurrent chronic aphthous stomatitis” of moderate severity. The duration of the disease ranged from 6 months to 3 years, the frequency of relapses varied from 3 to 6 times per year. During the clinical study, the results allow us to evaluate the developed wound healing agent as highly effective with a pronounced clinical effect. Based on the results obtained, we can recommend this drug for inclusion in therapeutic regimens for recurrent herpes infection (RHS) for use in practical dentistry, which will improve patient treatment outcomes and improve the quality of dental care.
