Complex theoretical-experimental study on behavior of polycrystalline ice under dynamic loads. Calculation of penetration process of elongated strikers in ice

The results of numerical studies on the process of penetration of elongated strikers with various forms of head parts in ice plate in the subsonic range of initial velocities have been submitted for the first time. The process of deformation and destruction of ice at penetration of the strikers with ogival, conic and flat head parts has thoroughly been studied.
