Complex Approach to Signature Research in the Digital Age

The article justifies the relevance of using a complex approach and interdisciplinary interaction in the process of researching non-traditional objects of forensic handwriting analysis (made on graphic tablets, using autopen, created using artificial intelligence (AI) (for example, AI Signature Generator, etc.) and other devices for entering graphic information) with the aim to improve the quality of expert opinions. Purpose: to consider the concepts of “complex study”, “multidisciplinary expert evidence” and “complex research”, which are important for understanding the methodological aspects of forensic handwriting, as well as to pay attention to the problem of studying images of handwriting objects in the framework of forensic handwriting expertise, to justify the importance of observing the principle of completeness, comprehensiveness and objectivity in the course of forensic handwriting research in modern digital conditions. Methods: the research methodology is based on general scientific principles, logical laws and an integrated approach to solving scientific problems. The following general and private-scientific methods of cognition were used in the research: system-structural, description, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, comparison and scientific prediction. Results: the author pays his attention to the need to improve the tactics of assigning forensic handwriting analysis, including copies of documents. The article focuses on the importance of developing high-quality interdisciplinary educational programs to improve the qualification of experts, followed by regular updating. Thus, the author points up the significance of a complex approach and interdisciplinary interaction that increase the effectiveness of forensic handwriting analysis and ensure a high level of professional training for experts.
