Up-to-date standards of the quality of external fixators (sterngth, roentgenolucency, small weight) can be provided by high-modular composition materials of high strength: organoplastics and carbon fiber reinforced plastics. The strength of the Ilizarov fixator half-ring within 2,2-2,3 kN was obtained by closed joint-stock company, scientific-and-production enterprise "Compomed" using the carbon fiber reinforced plastic consisting of UT-900-2,5 tissue and epoxide binder.
