The most important question that is considered in economic theory is the place of a person in the economy and his role, which he plays in it, consciously or reluctantly. During the evolution of economic theory, which has passed since the formation of the economy as a science, views of man have changed several times. Firstly, this is a classic approach and a view of a person as an economic person («Homo economicus»). Secondly, the Marxist approach, which is connected with the view of a person as a person being exploited (alienated) («Homo alienati»). And, thirdly, the modern view of man as an institutional person («Homo institutionalis»), which opens up entirely new facets of modern economic activity. Note also that this issue is directly related to determining the development paths of modern general economic theory. It is likely that the future will show us a new man in connection with the change in his status in the innovation economy. Maybe it will be an “innovative person”, an “inventive person” or a “creative person”. The time will tell. Obviously, only one thing is that the status and role of a person in a contemporary economy will change.
