The article reveals the prerequisites for the formation of the criminalistic doctrine of special knowledge used in the investigation of crimes involving minors. The article analyses the concept of scientific theory, its structure and component composition; it also determines the place of the mentioned doctrine in the system of the general theory of criminalistics, which allows avoiding the formation of a multitude of disparate, fragmentary theoretical concepts.
