Enhancing legacy information systems with a natural language query interface service

The paper describes a service-based approach to provide natural language interface to legacy information systems built on top of relational database management systems. Natural language query is automatically transformed to ontology SPARQL-query and subsequently to SQL-query using existing OBDA-frameworks. The solution is a web-service and does not require any source code modification. More over our approach to enhance legacy information systems with a natural language query interface to structured information does not require that the source code was available.
