The paper considered the author''s conception by C. Lewis in his «Divorce» (1945). This art piece has been determined to be a philosophic-religious parable. The study explored similarities and differences in history, institutional specifics and theology when comparing the concept of afterlife by C. Lewis with other authors. The study’ outcomes have shown that the art piece by C. Lewis was a fiction version of an Evangelical parable on the Kingdom of God. In his piece «Divorce» both spiritual time and life record’ time took place, while spiritual time prevailed over the life record’ one. A parable manner by Lewis implies a deep Evangelical meaning, evolution of the character being related thereat with the spiritual quest.
