The concept of "smart specialization" as a tool for innovative development of regions

The article discusses the topical problems of increasing the innovative activity of the regions of the Russian Federation as the most important factor in the dynamization of economic growth. Particular attention is paid to the substantiation of the need to debug development priorities for different types of regions. Based on the analysis, recommendations on the formation of a favorable set of tools are formulated to enhance innovative activities according to their specialized profiles.
