Military discipline concept in post-reform Russian army

The article reveals military and organizing activities of the Russian state to improve military discipline strengthening system in the second half of XIX — the beginning of the XX century. The author considers the problem in detail using archive documents and materials. This work will help to objectively estimate the views of military theorists and practitioners of the past on the ways of ensuring discipline among officers and lower ranks. It also allows to understand forms and methods of organizational work on the strengthening of law and order and military discipline, as well as the main directions and tendencies of this process. The paper tries to sum up the historical experience of the state and military body activity on establishing law and order in the army.
