Concept «cold» in Russian and Franco-Canadian image of world (on the material of historical sources of nouvelle-France and Siberia of the 17th - 18th cent.)

The article presents a comparative linguistic and cultural analysis of the concept «cold» on the material of historical documents of Nouvelle-France and Siberia in the 17th-18th cent., that contain language and speech means of its verbalization. The aim of the article is to show the perception of cold by the French and Russian explorers and first settlers of Canada and Siberia, its representation by language and speech means of French and Russian. The research is based on manuscripts and printed texts in French and Russian. The manuscripts and published texts in French and Russian were represented as the material of the research: they were notes of travelers, representatives of religious orders, reports of members of expeditions, trading companies and agencies, the military, civilians, the first historical and geographical descriptions of two regions, memoirs and business correspondence.
