“Love” concept in English and Russian linguistic representations

The article provides a comparative analysis of English and Russian linguistic representations of the concept «love» reflecting the conceptual understanding of the concept under discussion. The study has showed that along with a general understanding of this fundamental concept in Russian and Western cultural traditions there are national peculiarities of its perception and various images in linguistic representations.
