The article investigates social readiness of Russian citizens to help, in particular, to help migrants in their social and linguocultural adaptation in Russian region. The authors defend that social readiness to help is an absolute category and in insignificant degree depends on a subject of help. Based on the results of the poll the article concluded that it was not possible to speak about any embitterment and total absence of altruism in this case. A half of respondents realizes the social state's mission where one social community helps others. A certain category of citizens (20%) considers help more likely as service that quite in the spirit of market mentality. At last, the tenth part of respondents feels negative to migrants and the same part is not ready to help in general.
Help, social readiness, altruism, labor migrant, linguocultural adaptation, taxpayer, absolute category
