This article highlights the concept ‘doctor/physician’ and its representation in cultural and intercultural aspects. The theme is actual as it affects the problems of cultural settings, national and cultural stereotypes, lingual-cultural concepts, as they relate to all people in every country this way or another, ideas of ‘society 9, ‘value’, ‘role relations’. All these concepts and ideas are considered through the prism of the language, what in its turn enhances more deep and full understanding and knowledge of the national language. Determination of traditionally formed axiological parameters of important for the society concepts and their transformation in modern lingual cultures has high cognitive importance, since studies of lingual-cultural concepts expand the linguistics area of interest and are aimed at identifying the ways of interpreting the world, reflected in language. Studying the concept of "doctor/physician" in cultural and intercultural aspects reveals universal and specific ethnic, constant and varying components. The data obtained as a result of the study contribute to deeper comprehension of language, culture, mentality and reality. The purpose of the study is to make the analysis of the concept "doctor/ physician" in lingual-cultural aspect. The object of the study is the concept "doctor/physician" in cultural and intercultural aspects. Cross-cultural research of the concept as a linguistic unit is not only justified, but also necessary, as it allows to reveal general and purely national in their content.
