Conceptualization of labor as a basic element of the origin and functioning of the state

Introduction: the article proposes a hypothesis on the expediency of constructing an independent labor theory of the origin of the state, analyzes the concept of labor from the standpoint of the formational and theological paradigms, identifies modern contradictions in the theoretical and applied understanding of the essence of labor, formulates an information space for future discussions on the definition of labor as a key element of the state structure. Materials and Methods: the work based on comparative and legal and logical research methods with partial use of the method of functional analysis, the method of synergetic synthesis and the method of the systems approach. Results: the analysis of the theories of the origin of the state was carried out; the idea of the origin and functioning of the state through labor activity was formulated; the position was substantiated, according to which the rejection of socially useful, socially approved and not contrary to the law of labor, the state in the traditional sense will cease to exist. Discussion and Conclusions: the necessity of an integrated approach to understanding the role of labor in the process of creating a state is substantiated.
