This article is devoted to the cognitive aspects of nomination in the field of the Internet. It focuses on one of the key metaphors – the «Web» metaphor. The author concentrates on the main stages of the Internet-development, which are nominated as Web 1.0, Web. 2.0, Web 3.0.
