Conceptual-historical sources of the problem of the ideal in the philosophy of Evald Ilbenkov

The development of the ideal problem from Plato to modern philosophy is considered. The idea is substantiated that, from the standpoint of dialectical methodology, E.V. Ilyenkov enriched the category of the ideal with an activity aspect. Special attention is focused on the fact that the formation of the subjective mind is carried out during the process of familiarization with the existing spiritual culture, which represents the ideal being sought. The category of the ideal in Ilyenkov's understanding has a colossal axiological resource.
