This article examines dubbing as a method of adapting cinematographic works from an interdisciplinary perspective. The study focuses on the conceptual and methodological aspects of dubbing, including localization, semantic fidelity, censorship, financial considerations, and adaptation quality. It explores the impact of dubbing on the perception of audiovisual content by multilingual audiences, emphasizing the significance of speech synchronization with character articulation. Particular attention is given to the stages of adaptation, as well as the roles of translators, voice actors, and dubbing directors. The article underscores that effective dubbing necessitates a balance between translation accuracy, articulatory synchronization, and the preservation of national and cultural specificity.
