A conceptual approach to the image of a Russian woman and an Englishwoman in the works of Nikolai Zinoviev and I.A. Goncharov

This article is devoted to the analysis of the conceptual approach to the image of a Russian woman and an Englishwoman in the works of Nikolai Zinoviev and I. A. Goncharov. The article analyzes the poems of Nikolai Zinoviev, in which the Russian woman appears as a symbol of purity, love, care, able to overcome difficulties and sacrifice for the benefit of the family, and the novel by I.A. Goncharov "Frigate Pallada", in which the Englishwoman appears as a symbol of Western civilization, rationality and practicality. In the final part, the results of the analysis are summarized and conclusions are drawn about how Nikolai Zinoviev and I.A. Goncharov in his works represents a Russian and an Englishwoman, what character traits and behaviors are attributed to them, and what ideals they embody. Thus, this article allows us to better understand the conceptual approach to the image of a Russian woman and an Englishwoman in the works of Nikolai Zinoviev and Ivan Alexandrovich Goncharov, as well as to reveal the main ideas and values that writers put into these images.
