The situation of the CIS air transport market: a comparative review of national airlines

The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the market situation of air transport in the CIS countries with an emphasis on a comparative study of the activities of national airlines. The study covers key parameters that determine the positions of air carriers in the regional market: passenger traffic volumes, route network structure, aircraft fleet, as well as features of government support and corporate strategies. The paper examines both the general trends in the development of the aviation sector in the post-Soviet space and the unique aspects of the functioning of individual companies. The results of the analysis make it possible to determine the competitive advantages and risks affecting the sustainability of national air carriers in the face of external economic challenges.
