Lexical competition in speech production

Бесплатный доступ

In this paper we deal with lexical competition in both monolingual and bilingual speech production. The factors influencing accessibility and promptness of lexical choice are discussed. The research explores whether the activation of the common semantic system spreads on both languages of a bilingual and if lexical representations of the non-response language enter into lexical competition during speech production.
